Hapoel Be'er Sheva Pursues Bassem Za'aroura to Strengthen Midfield Ahead of Champions League Playoffs

Hapoel Be'er Sheva is seeking to bolster its midfield ahead of the upcoming two-legged Champions League playoff matches against Sabah. The club, which has already secured European competition for the season, is exploring several options to deepen its squad. According to Sport 5, Be'er Sheva has approached Bassem Za'aroura, a 23-year-old midfielder currently in excellent form. Za'aroura, who developed at Maccabi Haifa, has scored nine goals in his last 18 appearances for Maccabi Netanya, where he was signed three seasons ago for 900,000 shekels.

Za'aroura has attracted interest from clubs in Russia, Poland, and Ukraine, but Maccabi Netanya has refused to release him so far. The player was initially brought to Netanya by then-coach Ran Kozuch, who strongly believed in his potential. Za'aroura emerged as one of the standout players in the Israeli Premier League last season.
