Upper Galilee's Popular Circular Trail in Nahal Ayun Reserve Reopens After a Decade

A decade after devastating floods, the circular trail in the Nahal Ayun Nature Reserve in the Upper Galilee has reopened to the public. The Israel Nature and Parks Authority, together with Maariv, is highlighting new features in popular and lesser-known national parks and reserves throughout August. This reopening marks the third report in the series.

Visitors to Nahal Ayun can now choose from three hiking routes of varying lengths and difficulty levels. The longest trail passes by the reserve's four waterfalls, offering a comprehensive experience. The renewed medium-length trail is approximately 1.5 kilometers long and provides a circular hiking experience. Additionally, there is a short, accessible trail leading to the Tanur Waterfall, designed for visitors with mobility needs.

The restoration of the trail follows extensive rehabilitation efforts after the floods, ensuring safe and enjoyable access to the natural beauty of the reserve.
