Israeli Police Engage in Intense Gunfight During Night Operation in Northern Israel

In a pre-planned operation targeting illegal weapons, Israeli police officers from the Iron Station and tactical brigade conducted a search in an open area near Ein Sahala in northern Israel during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday. Upon arrival, the officers were suddenly fired upon, facing a serious life-threatening situation in a dark compound. The police quickly took cover, returned fire, and coordinated reinforcements while managing the tense encounter calmly.

Body camera footage captures the dramatic moments as officers dodge between vehicles and fences under heavy gunfire, communicating commands such as "Close in on me!" and "Hidden shooter!" The unit commander calmly reported over the radio, urging full protective gear and additional forces to secure the scene amid ongoing shooting.

Following determined and rapid searches, the police neutralized the threat and arrested a suspect, who was transferred for further investigation to the Central Unit of the Menashe district. Weapons and ammunition believed to have been used in the incident were seized and sent for forensic analysis. The court extended the suspect's detention until the following day at the police's request.
