Hostage Survivor Rom Braslavski Condemns Mako for Negative Coverage and Sharing Criticism Video

Rom Braslavski, a hostage survivor, publicly criticized Israeli news site Mako for repeatedly publishing negative headlines about him and sharing a controversial video that attacked him. The dispute began after Braslavski sharply criticized Rabbi Rafael Yonatan Polishuk for conducting a flawed wedding ceremony. In response, Tania Laoren posted a video condemning Braslavski's remarks and urging media outlets to stop giving a platform to such voices. Feeling deeply hurt, Braslavski sent a direct message to one of Mako's editors accusing the site of systematic negative coverage and disrespect. He wrote, "You are the only news site that dirties me like this. You opened the door to hatred." He also called the publication of Laoren's video "below the belt" and expressed that the hostility seemed ongoing rather than an isolated incident.

Braslavski's message emphasized his frustration with what he perceives as unfair treatment by Mako, stating, "If you have something unresolved with me, come talk, because it seems you or one of your editors have a grudge and only publish disgusting headlines about me." The controversy highlights tensions between Braslavski and media outlets over the coverage of his public statements and the backlash they have generated.
