Israeli Crime Boss Eyal Nagar Detained in Extortion Probe Over Ashdod Delivery Monopoly

Eyal Nagar, a leading figure in Israeli organized crime, was arrested as part of an extensive investigation dubbed "Relay Race" targeting criminal networks in Ashdod and Kiryat Gat. Exclusive footage of his arrest was released, revealing new details about his suspected role in forcibly monopolizing the delivery and distribution sector in Ashdod. The court extended Nagar's detention until August 17, during which he has chosen to remain silent in questioning.

According to interrogation protocols, Nagar allegedly operated covertly within "Mr. Delivery," a prominent local delivery company accused of using intimidation and threats to eliminate competition and control the market. This coercive monopoly is believed to be part of a broader criminal infrastructure generating significant illicit revenue through extortion of business owners forced to use these controlled delivery services.

The investigation involved undercover agents working covertly for months, even up to a year, to gather evidence. So far, 27 suspects have been arrested in connection with the probe, which remains ongoing.
