Aladar Dayan Laid to Rest in Eilat After Tragic Death Investigation

Aladar Dayan, aged 22, was buried on Tuesday in Eilat following a heartbreaking and uncertain search that began on July 16. Dayan was last heard from when he sent a cryptic message to his girlfriend, "Chaos, we'll talk," after which all contact ceased. Two days later, an abandoned car with a broken window and blood stains was found in Petah Tikva, linked to the mother of one of the suspects. This discovery prompted police to escalate the investigation from Dimona station to the Sharon District Unit (YAMAR Sharon).

The tragic conclusion came last Thursday when search teams found Dayan's body in an open area near the Yarkon interchange, approximately 200 meters from the abandoned vehicle. Identification was confirmed at the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute using advanced DNA technology, and the family was officially notified.

Following the discovery, police intensified suspicions against two of Dayan's friends, Omri David Peretz and Maxim Barberman, who had been with him in his final hours. Initially detained on charges of obstructing the investigation and intimidation, they are now suspected of involvement in Dayan's murder. Their detention was extended by court order as investigators from YAMAR Sharon continue to work to clarify the exact circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
