Hadass Klein files new police complaint against right-wing activist Mordechai David
Hadass Klein, the main prosecution witness in Case 1000 in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s trial, has filed a formal police complaint against right-wing activist Mordechai David. According to an I24NEWS report on Sunday, the complaint stems from an incident in Tel Aviv on Saturday night, when David was filmed chasing Klein in the street, shouting at her and trying to get physically close to her.
Police are expected to examine the complaint and the exact circumstances of the incident. David responded on X with a forceful denial, writing that people were spreading a “lie” that he attacked, pushed or cursed Klein and her friends. He said his own footage shows that others were insulting him and that “at no stage I touched her.” He added that defamation lawsuits were on the way and insisted the material in his possession proves there was no physical contact.
The episode adds to a long line of legal and public disputes involving Klein. She previously served as the personal assistant to billionaires Arnon Milchan and James Packer and is considered the key witness in the so-called gifts case. She has also sued commentator Eli Tzipori for NIS 5 million, accusing him of libel over 180 posts about her, including claims that she was helping a “coup” against Netanyahu. In addition, people have previously been indicted for harassment and incitement against her, and in 2024 a Holon resident was arrested on suspicion of online harassment and inciting violence against her.
David himself has been under scrutiny in recent weeks. Police recently questioned him under caution on suspicion of trespass, privacy violations and disturbing public order after he blocked the vehicle of former Supreme Court President Aharon Barak. Law-enforcement officials said they believe the evidence in that case is strong enough to support an indictment.
