Tiberias Seeks Licensed Coach to Support Krispil Amid Team Suspensions

Amid ongoing legal proceedings involving the Israeli Football Association and the anti-doping agency, Ironi Tiberias is preparing for the new season and will face Maccabi Petah Tikva in a Toto Cup ranking match on Saturday. Assistant coach Moti Krispil is expected to lead the team on the sidelines, as head coach Eliran Hodeda is currently suspended along with four players: Guy Hadida, David Kaltins, Niv Gottlieb, and Sambinia, who is in Portugal. The club hopes the suspended players will return soon but recognizes the need to appoint a coach with a professional license to work alongside Krispil, who remains a senior professional authority due to his familiarity with the players and the respect he commands within the club.

Financially, Ironi Tiberias has a budget of 21 million shekels approved, but the club faces challenges due to a freeze in new sponsorships and season ticket sales caused by the ongoing legal issues, which have disrupted the expected positive cash flow. Recently, however, there has been renewed local support, with the club nearing the collection of 200,000 shekels through concentrated season ticket purchases, donations, and small sponsors.

Meanwhile, younger players from Tiberias' youth team, such as Ran Halyuva and Roy Shahar, are gaining professional opportunities, having participated in most matches this season, with some starting in the lineup. Mansour Badji, a youth graduate who returned this summer after a two-year loan to Maccabi Jaffa, has also impressed, alongside Ayo Jones Abu Ghanima. The club is rebuilding its professional framework in the youth departments and academy and plans to regularly integrate younger players into the senior team's training sessions. Club officials expressed pride in seeing their young players compete equally in the Premier League despite the challenging period and ongoing squad construction.
