Israeli Football Tribunal Upholds Compensation Amount Betar Jerusalem Must Pay Ashdod for Noam Mouta

The Israeli Football Association's Supreme Tribunal has definitively rejected M.S. Ashdod's appeal regarding the compensation sum Betar Jerusalem must pay for the transfer of player Noam Mouta. The ruling confirms that Betar Jerusalem will pay the previously determined amount of 450,000 shekels to Ashdod, which currently competes in the National League.

The dispute began on July 16, when Ashdod demanded 1.1 million shekels in compensation for Mouta, but the Player Status Committee ruled for a significantly lower amount. Ashdod's appeal argued that the decision was flawed because it was made by a single arbitrator rather than a panel of three, and claimed there was a misinterpretation of registration regulations, specifically regarding the application of minimum compensation rules without approval from the Budget Control Authority for guarantees.

The tribunal, composed of three judges including Chief Judge Professor Miguel Deutsch, Professor Yaniv Vaki, and attorney David Yahav, held a hearing and ultimately dismissed Ashdod's appeal. This final decision closes the case on the compensation dispute between the two clubs.
