Israeli Football Tribunal Upholds Compensation Amount Beitar Jerusalem Must Pay Ashdod for Noam Mouta

The Israeli Football Association's Supreme Tribunal has rejected M.S. Ashdod's appeal regarding the compensation sum Beitar Jerusalem must pay for player Noam Mouta. The ruling confirms that Beitar Jerusalem will pay the previously determined amount of 450,000 shekels to Ashdod, which currently competes in the National League.

The dispute began when Ashdod initially demanded 1.1 million shekels in compensation on July 16, but the Player Status Committee ruled for a significantly lower amount. Ashdod appealed, arguing that the decision was made by a single arbitrator rather than a panel of three, and claimed a misinterpretation of registration regulations, specifically contesting the application of minimum compensation rules without approval from the Budget Control Authority regarding guarantees.

The appeal hearing was conducted by a three-member panel including the tribunal chairman Professor Miguel Deutsch, and judges Professor Yaniv Vaki and attorney David Yahav. After reviewing the case, the tribunal unanimously dismissed Ashdod's appeal, thereby finalizing the compensation amount Beitar Jerusalem must pay for Mouta.

This decision closes the case definitively, ensuring Beitar Jerusalem's financial obligation remains at 450,000 shekels as set less than a month ago.
