Activist Sheffi Paz Sparks Outrage with AI Video Depicting African Migrants as Garbage Trucks Them to Sea

Social activist Sheffi Paz ignited controversy online after releasing a provocative AI-generated video targeting African migrants in South Tel Aviv. The video shows migrants being collected from public spaces by a garbage truck's mechanical arm and dumped into the truck. It then depicts the truck arriving at the beach, where the migrants are unloaded onto rafts and rubber boats sent out to sea, with the driver waving goodbye. The video ends with the phrase "All of them, now."

The graphic imagery drew criticism even from supporters of Paz's campaign against illegal immigration, who found the portrayal disturbing. Paz, however, stood by her video, stating it was meant to shock and that residents are exhausted by the situation. She emphasized that the footage was based on real photos taken by locals of migrants loitering visibly in the streets.

Responding to critics worried the video could harm her cause, Paz said rational people understand the problem is not politically correct to tolerate. She accused detractors who would weaponize the video of being antisemitic and irrational. Paz reiterated that the residents she represents only want to wake up without seeing any migrants in the streets. She called on supporters to help remove migrants from public areas before "the garbage truck comes."
