Two Minors Arrested for Assaulting 64-Year-Old Man in Kiryat Gat Over Crosswalk Dispute

On Monday evening, police in Kiryat Gat responded to a report of violence involving a 64-year-old local man who was attacked and sustained a head injury. The incident occurred on a street in Kiryat Gat when two minors, also residents of the city, allegedly confronted the man after he signaled at them while they were crossing at a pedestrian crosswalk. After the man exited his vehicle, the minors began beating him and continued to kick him after he fell to the ground, causing his injury before fleeing the scene.

Following the report to the police emergency center, officers from the Kiryat Gat station quickly located and arrested the two suspects. They were taken in for further investigation and were scheduled to appear in court for an extension of their detention. Kiryat Gat police commander Superintendent Shay Elali emphasized the swift and determined police response and stated that the Israel Police treats all acts of violence seriously and will continue to enforce the law to ensure public safety.
