Ariel Zilber and Noam Yakobson Release New Duet, 'You Are Not Alone'
Veteran Israeli musician Ariel Zilber and creator Noam Yakobson have teamed up for a new song called "You Are Not Alone," a collaboration presented as a welcome burst of optimism and comfort in a difficult period. The track combines Zilber's familiar, upbeat, catchy style with heartfelt lyrics written by Yakobson.
Zilber said the song was inspired in part by Pirkei Avot and by the divine name "HaMakom." He explained, "A person who chooses to remain connected and aware of the divine presence that surrounds him understands the deepest truth: he is never alone." The song's central message is that a person is always accompanied by that presence.
Yakobson, known to many from his popular online videos and the satirical program "Latma," said the collaboration fulfilled a long-held dream. He said he had spoken with Zilber for years, and during one conversation he gathered the courage to say that he wanted to create a real, soul-filled song with him.
According to Yakobson, a few weeks later Zilber sent him the melody and told him, "It's yours if you want it." Yakobson said he fell in love with it immediately and wrote the lyrics to fit it. He described working with one of the musical giants he grew up on as a tremendous privilege, and said he is also finishing material for a new solo album.
