TLV Medical Details Incident of Foreign Substance on Nasal Tampons During Surgery

TLV Medical, a private hospital in Tel Aviv, addressed an incident involving an 18-year-old woman during a nasal surgery last Friday. Contrary to the Ministry of Health's statement, the hospital claimed it reported the event to the authorities. According to TLV Medical, after the patient was fully anesthetized, the surgeon inserted nasal tampons intended to aid the surgical process. However, due to a highly unusual human error by a nurse in the operating room, the tampons were soaked in a different substance. The hospital emphasized that this exceptional case was reported to the Ministry of Health as required.
