Four Charged Over Protest Outside Supreme Court Justice Solberg’s Home
Jerusalem District prosecutors have filed an indictment in the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court against four men accused of taking part in a disturbance outside the home of Supreme Court Deputy President Noam Solberg. The charges are trespassing and riot-related offenses.
The indictment, submitted on Tuesday afternoon, names Nachman Platnik, Avraham Fried and Gershon Hanuch, all aged 21 to 22 and residents of Beit Shemesh, along with 42-year-old Shimon Ta'af, also from Beit Shemesh.
According to the filing, nearly two weeks after the incident, police still do not know who organized the protest or who ordered the buses that brought the demonstrators to the settlement of Alon Shvut. The indictment also says that when a police patrol arrived at the scene, the officers left after the rioters shouted at them, “Nazis” and “We will die and not enlist.”
