Belz Hasidim Fly Over 200 Yeshiva Students from US to Israel for Elul Period

Over 200 young men from the Belz Hasidic community flew from the United States to Israel on a dedicated charter flight last week to spend the Elul period studying in the holy land. The flight was specially arranged by the Belz institutions' center in the US and featured a separate section at JFK Airport in New York exclusively for the yeshiva students.

The entire economy class of the plane was reserved for these students, who maintained a devout atmosphere throughout the journey, studying Torah and preparing for their learning period. Belz scholars served as flight attendants, distributing food and drinks and delivering announcements in Yiddish, preserving the community's spiritual character. Airport and flight staff praised the students' dignified conduct.

Upon arrival in Israel, the students were warmly welcomed by the local Belz leadership. The highlight of the trip occurred on Friday when each student had the opportunity to enter the Belz Rebbe's room to receive a personal blessing and greeting ahead of the new spiritual season. This unique initiative marks an unprecedented effort to maintain the community's religious environment during travel and study abroad.
