Over 200 Belz Yeshiva Students Fly From US to Israel for Elul Study Period

This week, over 200 young men from the Belz Hasidic community across the United States traveled to Israel on a dedicated charter flight organized by the Belz institutions' offices in the US. The students arrived to spend the Elul period studying in the major Belz yeshivas throughout Israel. A special section was arranged at the airport to maintain the group's religious standards, and throughout the journey, the students displayed exemplary conduct, many using the time to prepare and review their studies.

The initiative was coordinated with all travel agents serving the Belz community in the US, notably Rabbi Feivush Michlovich of BNM Travel in Borough Park and Moshe Moneheit of Main Street Travel in Monsey. The entire economy class was reserved exclusively for these students, accompanied by representatives from the Belz Center. From departure to arrival, the students sanctified the journey, each engaged in their own yeshiva learning.

At John F. Kennedy Airport in New York, parents tearfully bid farewell to their sons amid a scene of reverence. Throughout the airport process, including passport control and baggage check, the students were assisted by fellow scholars. Onboard the El Al flight, rabbis and company representatives served as flight attendants. The students remained dressed in traditional Hasidic attire, studying diligently in preparation for their time in Israel under the guidance of trusted spiritual supervision.
