Senior Israeli Police Officer Claims Discriminatory Treatment Compared to Lead Investigator

Nir Jambar, a senior Israeli police officer and former deputy commander of the Northern District's Emek region, filed an administrative petition against Police Commissioner Danni Levi. Jambar alleges discriminatory treatment compared to other senior officers investigated in similar corruption cases. He was investigated on suspicions of improper ties to criminals in a corruption case involving the Nazareth municipality. The case also involves Meni Benjamin, head of the Lahav 433 unit, whose investigation is still ongoing. While Commissioner Levi reinstated Benjamin to his position, Jambar's case was closed but he remains on forced leave. Jambar claims this decision constitutes unlawful discrimination.
