Israeli Authorities Demolish Illegal Buildings in Kafr Qasim and Bi'ina

The Israel Land Authority, accompanied by the Israel Police, conducted enforcement operations over the past two days in central and northern Israel to demolish illegal structures built on state land. On the morning of the latest operation, a four-story illegal building in Kafr Qasim was evacuated and demolished under the supervision of the Israel Land Authority inspectors and with substantial police presence to maintain public order. This action followed a final court ruling and extensive operational preparations.

Simultaneously, yesterday, forces demolished an unauthorized residential building in the village of Bi'ina in the Galilee, after the occupants failed to carry out the demolition themselves as ordered by a final court decision. These demolitions are part of ongoing enforcement efforts aimed at removing obstacles, enabling regulated development, and promoting the lawful marketing of residential plots for the public benefit.

The state intends to file claims to recover the full costs of evacuation and demolition from those responsible and to enforce additional court rulings against other illegal structures. Shira Tam, head of the Land Protection Division at the Israel Land Authority, emphasized the significance of these enforcement actions in combating illegal land invasions and pledged continued determined cooperation with the police and enforcement agencies to protect state lands and uphold the law.
