Border Police officers and Civil Administration officials raided several hilltop outposts and farms in the West Bank overnight Thursday, demolishing four homes and seizing livestock. The operation targeted communities in the settlement enterprise across Judea and Samaria.
In Tel Talpiyot, near the Gush Shilo area in Binyamin, forces destroyed the homes of three families living on the hilltop. One of the families was evicted just two days after the birth of a new daughter. Officers also confiscated a horse belonging to one resident and tried to seize a flock of sheep.
At Kokhav Yehuda farm, between Tekoa and Efrat in Gush Etzion, residents said police threw stun grenades at them before demolishing a home where a family lived. At Shaagat Yehuda farm in northern Samaria, dozens of additional officers raided the site and completely razed it. Another settlement point near the community of Ash Kodesh in Binyamin was also demolished.
Settlement sources said last month set a new record for evictions, with no fewer than 57 demolition incidents recorded, an average of nearly two per day.
