Israeli Police Seize Carlo Rifle, Homemade Weapon, and Large Ammunition Cache in Ar'ara, Negev

During an operation under the "Iron Net" campaign, Israeli police conducted a search in a residence in Ar'ara, located in the Negev region. The search uncovered two boxes of 9mm ammunition, an extended M-16 magazine capable of holding 60 rounds, a magazine for a Carlo submachine gun, and two magazine holders. A local resident in his twenties was detained and taken to the Ar'ara police station for further investigation.

The operation involved officers from the Ar'ara police station, fighters from the Metpa unit, the Southern Border Police unit, and the National Guard of the Southern Border Police. The campaign focuses on locating and confiscating illegal weapons to enhance public safety.

Baruch Honig, commander of the Ar'ara police station, emphasized the importance of combating illegal firearms, stating that each weapon seized prevents potential threats and contributes to the security of residents. He affirmed the police's commitment to continue working decisively with all units to find illegal arms and bring those involved to justice.
