Circo Land Brings Inclusive Circus Experience to Haredi and General Audiences in Petah Tikva
During the summer vacation and the intermediate days between Jewish holidays, Circo Florentin in Petah Tikva transforms into Circo Land, a comprehensive circus-themed park offering acrobatics, attractions, and family activities. The event features about two hours of interactive activities followed by a one-hour international circus show performed in a 360-degree arena, creating an immersive experience for all attendees.
Founded in 1999 in Tel Aviv's Florentin neighborhood, Circo Florentin is a modern circus without animals. Since relocating in 2022 to 23 HaMiflasiim Street in the Kiryat Aryeh area of Petah Tikva, it has expanded to include performances, workshops, summer camps, and family events. The venue is accessible and offers free parking, with public transport options including Israel Railways and the red line light rail.
A significant new feature this year is a special format tailored for the religious and Haredi communities. This includes men-only performers, Hasidic music, gender-segregated seating with an option for family seating, a kosher buffet under Badatz supervision, and a Shabbat-observant area. These adaptations aim to accommodate diverse preferences within these communities, ensuring a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
Visitors enter the park at the time indicated on their tickets, which marks the start of the activities rather than the circus show. Attractions include large inflatable extreme play areas, water inflatables with foam cannons, circus workshops, ninja courses, archery, a gyro ride, a motorized zone, a family photo booth, and a large painting wall. Families are advised to bring a change of clothes and towels for water activities. After about two hours of activities, all attendees gather in the circus tent for the main show featuring international artists performing acrobatics, stunts, balance acts, and juggling.
The event runs from the 12th to the 30th of Av 5786 (August 2024), with entry times at 13:00, 16:00, and 18:30. Tickets are required for children aged two and above, and advance booking is recommended due to limited capacity. Special credit card promotions require prior code acquisition. Circo Land offers a unique summer entertainment option that blends dynamic participation with a professional circus performance, catering to both secular and religious families in Israel.
