AI-Powered Real-Time Translation Gadgets Launch in Israel for Seamless Multilingual Conversations
The AI market in Israel is expanding beyond chatbots to include advanced real-time translation devices. Bandai has introduced Timekettle products in Israel, offering smart earbuds and standalone translators that enable two people to converse naturally in their native languages with near-instant AI translation. Unlike traditional methods requiring pauses or phone passing, these devices listen continuously, filter background noise, analyze context, and deliver translations almost simultaneously, sometimes even while the speaker is still talking.
Timekettle’s technology combines speech recognition, AI-based translation, and global cloud infrastructure to minimize delays and create a natural conversation flow. Noise filtering and voice recognition features allow effective use in noisy environments such as airports, restaurants, conferences, and busy streets.
Three models are available in Israel, each tailored to different scenarios. The New T1 AI is a standalone translator placed between speakers, supporting 43 languages and 96 accents, with offline translation capabilities and up to two years of international data coverage. The W4 AI earbuds provide face-to-face translation with up to 98% accuracy and a 0.2-second response time, supporting 52 languages and 106 accents. The premium W4 Pro AI earbuds target business users, adding phone call, video meeting, lecture, and media translation features. These earbuds offer noise reduction, three microphones, up to six hours of translation per charge, and can function as regular Bluetooth headphones. Prices range from 1,099 to 1,649 shekels.
Despite impressive capabilities, translation quality varies by language, environment, internet connection, and conversation context. Nonetheless, recent AI advances have made these devices increasingly practical for travelers, business professionals, and multilingual communication needs.
