MK Tali Gottlieb Rejects Any Agreement with Hamas, Calls for Israeli Control Over Gaza
On a recent broadcast of Channel 14's morning edition, Israeli Member of Knesset Tali Gottlieb firmly dismissed the possibility of any agreement with Hamas, labeling the group as a terrorist organization intent on Israel's destruction. Gottlieb emphasized that trusting Hamas or expecting them to disarm is unrealistic, stating, "Who believes them? There is no agreement with them."
She further explained that Hamas aims to push Israel into the sea, underscoring that Israel cannot rely on Hamas's mercy but only on its own strength. Gottlieb stressed the necessity for Israel to maintain control over the Gaza Strip and keep constant military readiness, saying, "We must control the Strip and always have our finger on the trigger."
Addressing recent Israeli military operations in Gaza, she highlighted the extensive efforts to damage Hamas's underground infrastructure, including tunnels, and advocated continuing such actions to ensure Israeli security. Gottlieb concluded by reflecting on the balance of power with Iran, asserting that Israel holds a deterrence advantage in the regional power dynamic.
Her remarks come amid ongoing tensions and military activities in Gaza, reinforcing a hardline stance against negotiations with Hamas and emphasizing security measures to protect Israel.
