Hapoel Ramat Gan Seeks Midfielder Aziz Awatara from Maccabi Netanya

Hapoel Ramat Gan, newly promoted to the Israeli Premier League, has approached Maccabi Netanya to inquire about acquiring midfielder Aziz Awatara. Awatara, who earns approximately 120,000 shekels net per month at Netanya, is reportedly not in the club's future plans. Ramat Gan has offered to cover half of his salary through the end of the season. Negotiations may advance following the teams' match scheduled for Sunday evening.

The club expressed frustration after winger Christian Nauwetschuk chose to sign with the Iraqi club Sabah, despite agreeing terms with Ramat Gan. The team has asked player agents to continue proposing young, fast left-wingers as replacements.

Meanwhile, coach Roni Levi is preparing for the upcoming match after two Toto Cup victories, aiming for a third win. He plans to rotate the squad, reinstating many players who started in the first game against Hapoel Jerusalem. Congolese player Isaac Chibango, currently on trial, may be included in the squad. Dolev Haziza is confirmed to be in the lineup and expected to play some minutes. Bassem Za'arura will miss the game due to suspension, with Omri Shamir set to start in midfield.
