Israeli Fighter Sattay Koren Wins Grappling Title in Amsterdam
Israeli mixed martial artist Sattay Koren added another title to his record by winning the Grappling Industries competition in Amsterdam on August 1, 2026. Koren, who holds a perfect 8-0 MMA record and the bantamweight belt from the Tuff N Uff organization under the UFC Fight Pass, competed in the professional 70 kg category. Originally scheduled for five matches, only three took place due to two opponents withdrawing, one at the last minute and another due to injury. Koren won all three matches by submission using a rear-naked choke against competitors from Germany, Myanmar, and Russia.
This victory follows Koren's March 2026 achievement when he became the first Israeli champion in a UFC-affiliated organization by defeating Andrew Gartie with a similar rear-naked choke submission. Koren is currently awaiting his next MMA fight and a potential UFC opportunity on the horizon, continuing to bring honor to Israel in international combat sports.
