Benjamin Regional Council Establishes New Security Command Center in Shilo Bloc

The Benjamin Regional Council has inaugurated a new security command center for the Shilo bloc, consolidating all security and control systems for the area's settlements. This center, established after years of planning, aims to enhance coordination, control, and operational response both during routine times and emergencies. It will serve settlements including Shvut Rachel, Givat Shilo, and others in the region, centralizing security technologies to manage incidents and provide swift, coordinated responses.

This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Benjamin Regional Council to strengthen security infrastructure in local communities. Recent years have seen the installation of new security components and upgrades to protection and control measures, with the new command center further improving oversight and coordination capabilities.

Israel Gantz, head of the Benjamin Regional Council and chairman of the Yesha Council, described the command center as a "top security necessity" for Shilo residents. He emphasized the council's significant investment in security, viewing resident safety as essential for the area's continued growth and development. Gantz also expressed gratitude to Defense Minister Israel Katz, the Settlement Division led by Nachi Mendel, the council’s security officer Meni Blonder, and the security department for advancing the project.

Defense Minister Israel Katz highlighted that strengthening security components in settlements is integral to Israel’s security strategy. He stated that the new command center will improve control, coordination, and operational response, enhancing residents’ safety. Katz affirmed the government’s commitment to investing in settlement security and equipping communities and forces with advanced tools to address threats.
