Couple Proposes Marriage on Jerusalem's Temple Mount on Tu B'Av

On Wednesday evening, a couple experienced a poignant moment on Jerusalem's Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism, as the man proposed to his partner during their first visit to the site. The event coincided with Tu B'Av, a traditional Jewish day of love. The couple was accompanied by Sivan Carmi, a guide from the organization Bidyanu. Following the proposal, Israeli police detained the couple briefly and issued them a warning. Bidyanu commented on the significance of the location, stating, "The Temple Mount is the holiest place for the Jewish people, and it is very moving to see a Jewish couple announce the building of their home where the national Temple once stood."
