Having finished his contract and becoming a free agent, Caboclo has engaged in talks with Israeli teams Hapoel Jerusalem and his former club Hapoel Tel Aviv. However, reports from Brazil indicate that he is leaning towards playing in South America, particularly to join Flamengo, where his friend Yago dos Santos recently signed.

Caboclo's agent reportedly prefers that he remain in Europe, but the player himself is interested in reuniting with dos Santos.
