Divorced Singles Volunteer Together Packing Gifts for Hospitalized Children in Holon

Dozens of divorced men and women gathered at the Dream Stage club in Holon earlier this week for a unique dating event organized by the Ruach Tova association from the Arison Group. After an initial meet-and-greet, participants packed care packages and gifts for children hospitalized at Dana Hospital. Those who felt a connection could continue to a second date by personally delivering the packages to the children.

This event, called "Second Look Volunteering," is a sequel to the "First Look Volunteering" project, which combines volunteering with dating for singles and has been running for five years. It offers an alternative to traditional dating by fostering connections through meaningful social action.

Participants expressed enthusiasm for the initiative. Ronen from Even Yehuda, who volunteers in various fields, said he was drawn to the cause because of his sensitivity to hospitalized children and appreciated the opportunity to give back. Hadar from Holon and Shmulik from Modiin also praised the event for its warm atmosphere and the chance to meet new people while contributing to a worthy cause.

Esther from Holon highlighted the satisfaction and social mission felt by the divorced community collaborating with Ruach Tova. Shiri Bartal Ben Ezra, project manager at Ruach Tova, explained the goal is to create human encounters based on community values of care and mutual responsibility, hoping these meetings will also spark new love stories.

The evening concluded with an interactive LEGO Serious Play workshop led by certified facilitator Tzipi Bukshpan, encouraging participants to express ideas and open dialogue through building LEGO models.
