Israeli Wedding Photographer Ariel Ravinsky Captures Stunning Denali Expedition in Alaska

Ariel Ravinsky, a leading photographer renowned for his work in the ultra-Orthodox wedding scene, has embarked on a rare and breathtaking journey to Alaska. During the traditional Three Weeks period, when weddings and klezmer music are paused, Ravinsky took advantage of the break to document his expedition to Denali, the highest peak in North America, standing at 6,168 meters. Located in the vast Denali National Park, about 210 kilometers from Anchorage, the park covers an area roughly the size of Israel.

Ravinsky's photographic series includes extraordinary aerial shots taken during a special sightseeing flight over Denali. The flight showcased towering ice walls and the imposing mountain from unique angles. The plane, a light aircraft equipped with specialized skis from K2 Aviation, took off from Talkeetna, a town approximately 80 kilometers from Denali. Passengers were required to wear special footwear to safely walk on the snow and glacier surfaces during a dramatic landing on a glacier surrounding the mountain.

This adventure, captured in a series of vivid photographs and video footage, offers a rare glimpse into the majestic Alaskan wilderness and the formidable Denali massif. Ravinsky’s work provides a striking contrast to his usual wedding photography, highlighting his versatility and passion for capturing extraordinary moments in diverse environments.
