Tiberias Agrees to Pay 120,000 Shekels for Gal Ma'atuk Transfer from Maccabi Petah Tikva

Ironi Tiberias has finalized the compensation amount to be paid to Maccabi Petah Tikva for defender Gal Ma'atuk. The decision was made during a session of the Players' Status Committee on Tuesday, setting the fee at 120,000 shekels. This sum is significantly lower than the initial demand of approximately one million shekels made by Avi Luzon, a key figure at Maccabi Petah Tikva. Due to the unresolved transfer fee, Ma'atuk did not participate in Tiberias' Toto Cup match against Hapoel Haifa but is expected to be available for the upcoming league game against Ironi Kiryat Shmona on Saturday.

Tiberias has pursued Ma'atuk for the past two years, attempting to sign him last summer, and finally succeeded this year. The club views him as a young player with considerable potential who can make a meaningful contribution to the team as they continue building their squad amid ongoing challenges in Israeli football.
