International Coordination Intensifies for Large Breslov Pilgrimage to Uman for Rosh Hashanah 2026

As tens of thousands of Breslov Hasidim prepare for their annual pilgrimage to Rabbi Nachman of Breslov's grave in Uman for Rosh Hashanah 2026, extensive international preparations have been underway well before public announcements. Throughout the year, representatives of the Breslov Union have engaged in intensive global coordination with governments, embassies, law enforcement, and transportation authorities to ensure the smooth and safe passage of the large crowds.

Recently, Rabbi Natan Ben Nun, chairman of the Breslov Union, met with Romania's ambassador to Israel, Radu Ioanid, and Deputy Ambassador Adrian Simon. Romania plays a key role as a transit country for pilgrims traveling overland to Ukraine. The meeting focused on detailed coordination to facilitate an orderly, efficient, and secure border crossing for the tens of thousands expected to pass through Romanian checkpoints.

The Breslov Union emphasized that this meeting is part of a broader network of ongoing cooperation with official bodies worldwide. They work year-round to develop rapid solutions in transportation, security, border infrastructure, and logistics, recognizing that early preparation and close international collaboration are essential for the pilgrimage's success.

Rabbi Ben Nun stated that as Rosh Hashanah approaches, activities with all involved authorities are expanding to guarantee the best possible management of the mass influx. The goal is to enable pilgrims from around the world to arrive safely in Uman and participate in the holiday prayers with peace of mind.
