Senior U.S. Official Says Any Iran Deal Would Dismantle Nuclear Program and Block Terror Funding

A senior official in the Trump administration told Reuters that under a prospective agreement with Iran, the country’s nuclear program would be dismantled, the Strait of Hormuz would be opened, and Tehran would not fund terrorist organizations.

The official also said that no money would be released for Iran until it fully meets the terms of the agreement. The remarks were presented as describing the conditions Washington would expect in any deal with Tehran.
