Singer Eliya Shokron Releases Tribute Song for Fallen Childhood Friend Neriya Nagari

Israeli singer and songwriter Eliya Shokron has released a new song titled "Bederech Olam" (On the Path of the World) dedicated to the memory of his childhood friend Neriya Aharon Nagari, who was killed during the Simchat Torah war. Shokron explained that the song aims to honor soldiers like Neriya whose stories are often not widely known. The lyrics combine original words with verses from Psalms, expressing prayers for spiritual repair, light, and walking the path of eternal life.

The composition was created by Eliya Shokron and Asher Kleinschpiz, with musical production and arrangement led by David Lifshitz, who also played bass, keyboards, and recorded background vocals. Additional musicians included Assaf Zamir on drums and percussion, Amit Yitzhak on guitars and strings, Oren Tzur on string arrangements, and Shmulik Daniel handling sound engineering, mixing, and mastering.

Neriya’s family shared that he grew up in the settlement of Neriya and maintained a close and caring friendship with Shokron throughout their lives. They described Neriya as a kind-hearted boy and young man who genuinely cared for others. The family expressed deep gratitude to Shokron for commemorating Neriya through this heartfelt song, believing that Neriya’s soul is moved by this tribute from beyond.
