Model Noam Tor’s Car Burglarized in Tel Aviv; Suspect Charged After Using Stolen Credit Card

Last weekend, Israeli model and "Survivor" star Noam Tor parked his car in the Kikar Atarim parking lot near Tel Aviv’s beachfront. Upon returning, he discovered his wallet, containing his credit card, missing from the locked glove compartment. On Wednesday, police filed charges against 29-year-old Nikita Ben Yevgeni Plich from Eilat, accusing him of car burglary, theft, and fraudulent use of a payment device, and requested his detention until trial.

According to the indictment, shortly after breaking into Tor’s car, Plich used the stolen credit card to make four purchases at various businesses in the area within about ten minutes, before Tor realized the theft. Security cameras captured the suspect breaking into the vehicle and later using the credit card. Police identified him by his distinctive tattoos. During interrogation, Plich admitted to the break-in, initially claiming the car was unlocked but later confessing he forced it open. He expressed remorse and attributed his actions to drug addiction.

The indictment reveals Plich has eight prior convictions for property and violent crimes, including a suspended five-month sentence issued on June 2 this year. Authorities seek to activate that suspended sentence if he is convicted in this case. This incident is one of three recent car break-ins investigated by the Tel Aviv Lev police station last week. Two other suspects, aged 29 and 46, were arrested for separate vehicle burglaries in Tel Aviv and Bat Yam and are undergoing legal proceedings.
