New Book Honors Dr. Eli Shoseheim’s Lifelong Dedication to Efrat Association

Five years after the passing of Dr. Eli Shoseheim, chairman of the Efrat Association, a new book titled "A Unique Man of His Generation" has been published by his son-in-law, Hagai Goldschmidt. In an interview with Channel 7, Goldschmidt shared insights into Shoseheim’s life and his decades-long voluntary work supporting women through the Efrat Association, which aids women seeking to continue their pregnancies despite challenges.

Goldschmidt described Shoseheim as a man driven by a deep sense of mission and commitment to saving lives, dedicating his time to expanding the organization’s reach and impact. Even during family meals and vacations, Shoseheim was constantly thinking of new ways to enhance Efrat’s activities. His final vision was to establish "Beit Efrat," a center consolidating all of the organization’s services under one roof, which today includes an educational visitor center, a supportive home for women in need, and logistical and other projects assisting women during pregnancy and childbirth.

The book also highlights Shoseheim’s ability to bridge different sectors of Israeli society, maintaining relationships with rabbis and Hasidic leaders across various streams, motivated by his love of Torah and humanity without regard to factional affiliation. Goldschmidt emphasized Shoseheim’s empathy and his belief that even small acts of kindness can change realities and influence generations.

Goldschmidt explained that the book’s title, "A Unique Man of His Generation," is meant to inspire readers to recognize their own unique mission and potential to make a difference, regardless of their starting point. The book aims to show that everyone can find their calling and contribute to helping others in their own way and place.
