Israeli TV Offers Special Programs for Tisha B'Av Including Documentaries and Live Western Wall Broadcasts

Ahead of Tisha B'Av on the evening of July 22, Israeli television channels are presenting a range of special programming suited to the solemn nature of the day. Among the highlights is the documentary "Naomi's Questions," airing on Kan 11 and Kan BOX, which chronicles over three decades the life of Naomi Tamar Anal Alon, a woman with Williams syndrome, as she fights for her right to love, work, and build a home. The film, directed by Yehoshua Gerard Alon, offers an intimate look at Naomi’s journey from childhood in Jaffa to independent living and her pursuit of marriage and parenthood, challenging societal taboos around disability and family life.

Channel 12 will broadcast "Between October 6 and October 7," a documentary by director Sima Kadmon about Major General (res.)
