Trump Reiterates US Will Strike Iran’s Underground Natanz Nuclear Site

US President Donald Trump intensified his threats against Iran, declaring that the United States will undoubtedly strike the underground nuclear facility known as "Pickaxe Mountain" near Natanz. Speaking on Tuesday evening, Trump emphasized that Washington has no intention of resuming diplomatic talks with Tehran unless Iran is ready for serious negotiations. He stated, "We will hit that site without a doubt," referring to the newly developed and highly secretive underground complex that has drawn significant Western concern.

Trump warned that the campaign against Iran is far from over, asserting that if the US were to stop now, it would take Iran 20 to 25 years to recover. "Iran has not seen anything yet. We have been nice so far," he added. Regarding Hezbollah, Trump mentioned that there are "well-built plans" in place to dismantle the group.

The "Pickaxe Mountain" facility, located south of the Natanz nuclear site, has been under construction for weeks, with satellite imagery analyzed by the Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS) showing ongoing work, fortified entrances, and vehicle movements. However, the site is not believed to be enriching uranium yet. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors have never been allowed access, raising fears in the West that it could become a fortified nuclear site or a transfer point for sensitive materials in case of an attack. Earlier reports indicated that centrifuges and uranium were moved to this facility, heightening its strategic importance.
