Likud's Iyobi Group Gathers 400 Members in Jerusalem Ahead of Primaries

The Iyobi Group, led by senior advisor to Jerusalem's mayor Ofer Iyobi, held its second conference in Jerusalem with around 400 Likud members and activists from the central region. The event aimed to prepare for the upcoming Likud primaries by consolidating a candidate list that will secure the party's victory in the general elections. Key figures attending included Minister Eli Cohen, Minister Miri Regev, Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, and Education Minister Yoav Kish, who engaged with activists and shared their positions ahead of the internal party vote.

Minister Eli Cohen addressed Israel's security situation, emphasizing the country's strength in the Middle East and its intelligence and offensive capabilities, stating that Israel's adversaries have refrained from attacks recently due to the heavy price they would pay. Ofer Iyobi explained in an interview with Channel 7 that the group's goal is to ensure the Likud candidate list comprises experienced and proven individuals who can lead the party to victory. He highlighted the group's commitment to increasing Likud members' involvement in selecting the party's parliamentary representatives.

The Iyobi Group is noted for its broad and diverse membership, including young and veteran members, religious and secular individuals, and even members from the Haredi sector. This diversity aims to create a unified framework for Likud members across greater Jerusalem to collaborate effectively in the primaries and upcoming elections.
