The Israeli Privacy Protection Authority has imposed a financial penalty of 256,000 shekels on Maccabi Health Services for failing to promptly report a serious security incident as required by the Privacy Protection Law. In January, Maccabi reported a technological fault that allowed unauthorized access to insured individuals' personal data. However, an investigation revealed that the health fund was aware of the issue as early as November 2025 but did not notify the authority immediately as mandated by law.
