Israeli Border Police Arrest Suspect in Stone-Throwing Attack on West Bank Settler

Israeli Border Police in the West Bank arrested a suspect overnight Tuesday for throwing stones at a settler's vehicle, injuring her last week near the Samaria Division. The arrest took place in the village of Sinjil following several days of precise investigative and intelligence work. The incident occurred last Wednesday morning near Sinjil, where stones were hurled at the settler's car, causing injuries that required hospital treatment.

Following the attack, the Border Police's Investigation and Intelligence Department launched a probe to identify the suspect. After gathering intelligence and confirming his identity, forces apprehended him at his home in Sinjil, seizing evidence linking him to the crime. The suspect and the seized items were transferred for further questioning, with additional arrests expected as the investigation continues.

On the same day and overnight, Israeli military forces from the Samaria Division conducted a large-scale counterterrorism operation in Sinjil, carrying out over 200 searches and interrogating other suspects. Police stated that Border Police units will persist in their efforts alongside other security forces to locate and arrest all individuals involved in terrorist activities to ensure the safety of Israeli civilians.

This arrest is part of ongoing security operations throughout Judea and Samaria aimed at preventing attacks and detaining suspects involved in terrorism, following recent incidents including arrests in Abu Dis and the detention of three youths who threw Molotov cocktails on the Tunnel Road.
