59-Year-Old Man Dies After Mobile Forklift Accident in Netanya
A tragic accident occurred Tuesday morning in Netanya when a 59-year-old man was struck by a mobile forklift on Haim Weizmann Street. Emergency medical teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived to find the man trapped under the heavy equipment, suffering severe injuries to his chest and limbs. Paramedics Yosef Buskila and Lior Danino freed him from beneath the forklift and provided urgent medical care before transporting him to Laniado Hospital in serious condition. Despite initial treatment and being conscious upon hospital arrival, his condition deteriorated, and doctors later declared him dead.
Rabbi Moshe Barver, head of the ZAKA Netanya branch in the Sharon region, responded to the scene and assisted the victim before hospital transfer. He noted that ZAKA volunteers are supporting the family during this difficult time and ensuring the deceased is treated with respect. The incident is considered unusual and has deeply affected the local community.
