Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck by Forklift in Netanya Work Accident

A tragic accident occurred in Netanya where a pedestrian in his 60s was fatally injured after being struck by a manual forklift. The victim, a local resident, was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Emergency medical personnel reported that the man was trapped under the heavy equipment and sustained severe injuries to both his upper and lower body.

Police from the Netanya station in the Central District responded to the scene and have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. Concurrently, the Ministry of Labor was notified immediately to review the incident and assess safety compliance at the site.

Paramedics Yosef Buskila and Lior Danino described their efforts to free the victim from beneath the heavy object and provide urgent medical care before transporting him to the hospital. The investigation and official inquiries are ongoing to determine the exact cause and prevent future occurrences.
