Israeli Singer Moshiko Mor Removes Electronic Bracelet After 19 Months of House Arrest

Moshiko Mor, an Israeli singer accused of rape and sodomy, has been allowed by the Lod District Court to remove his electronic monitoring bracelet after spending 19 months under house arrest. The court approved the removal earlier this week following probation service reports that highlighted Mor's compliance with release conditions, ongoing treatment, abstinence from drugs and alcohol, and successful reintegration into work. The prosecution chose not to appeal the decision, enabling Mor to resume work while still under house arrest at his home in Afula.

Mor shared a photo on social media of himself cutting off the electronic bracelet, expressing gratitude for the period spent at home and thanking God and his father for support. The court emphasized that all other conditions of his release remain unchanged, including continued house arrest except for approved work-related and recreational outings under supervision. The probation service noted Mor’s stability and positive employer feedback, recommending reduced supervision without compromising public safety. The legal proceedings against Mor are ongoing since his arrest in January 2024.
