Rabbi Shlomo Yehuda Baari Urges Absolute Commitment to Circumcision Purity to Combat Spiritual Decline

Rabbi Shlomo Yehuda Baari, known worldwide for his profound knowledge and ability to integrate Jewish law, legend, and Kabbalah, recently addressed a critical issue in Judaism: the importance of maintaining the sanctity of circumcision and the grave sin of its blemish. In a candid video, the rabbi emphasized that the struggle against the evil inclination is not merely a personal challenge but a mission with profound implications for both the individual's soul and the entire world.

When asked about a yeshiva student struggling with the sin of wasting seed, Rabbi Baari responded firmly that the student must strengthen himself by studying "Taharat HaKodesh," a work by Rabbi Aharon Rata, founder of the Shomer Emunim group, which focuses on modesty, guarding the eyes, and rectifying the blemish of the covenant. The rabbi stressed the necessity of holiness in the covenant and the need for true self-sacrifice.

Rabbi Baari warned that the sin of blemishing the covenant is the most severe transgression, one that "destroys the world." He cited the Shulchan Aruch, Even HaEzer, section 23, to underline the severity of the matter. The rabbi called for rigorous observance of guarding one's eyes and genuine dedication to sanctity in the covenant as the only solution to this spiritual crisis.
