Israeli Defense Industry Prepares Extensive Display at Farnborough 2026 Airshow

Following controversial restrictions on Israeli companies at the Paris Air Show, Israel's defense industry is gearing up for a major presence at the Farnborough 2026 exhibition in the UK. The event, starting Monday and lasting five days, is a leading global platform for aerospace and defense, featuring around 1,600 exhibitors with defense systems expected to comprise about half of the displays amid rising global security tensions.

The Israeli delegation arrives after a record year in 2025, with defense exports surpassing $19 billion according to the Ministry of Defense. Key participants include Rafael, Israel Aerospace Industries, Elbit Systems, and others like IAI's Euromos, Uvision, and TSG, showcasing battlefield-oriented solutions, command and control, intelligence, and cyber systems.

Unlike the Paris show, where Israeli firms faced limitations to defensive systems only, Farnborough will allow the display of offensive weaponry. Rafael will present advanced operational systems such as the Space bombs, the fifth-generation Ice Breaker cruise missile with a 300 km range designed to overcome GPS jamming, the AI-enabled long-range air-to-ground ROCKS missile, and the L-SPIKE 4X loitering missile capable of 25 minutes flight and 40 km range.

Israel Aerospace Industries will showcase the Arrow 3 missile, the long-range LORA ground-to-ground missile, and the HARPY and HAROP loitering munitions for autonomous target detection and destruction deep in enemy territory. Elbit Systems will feature the X-Sight helmet for helicopter pilots, providing real-time tactical situational awareness. Euromos will present AI-based rugged human-machine interface solutions, including smart cockpits designed to enhance operator performance under stress.

This comprehensive display underscores Israel's growing role in global defense markets and technological innovation, with Farnborough providing a more open platform for showcasing both defensive and offensive capabilities.
