Gidi Keniuk Sets Payment Deadline for Hapoel Ramat Gan Over Unpaid Bonuses

Hapoel Ramat Gan, which returned to Israel's Premier League in May after a 13-year absence, is facing legal challenges from former players over unpaid bonuses. Gidi Keniuk, one of the players, has issued a final demand to the club for payment of promised bonuses related to the team's promotion and his goal contributions, as well as agreed compensation for the non-renewal of his contract for the upcoming 2026/2027 season.

The dispute follows similar claims by another player, Ezekiel Henty, who publicly raised the issue after the club failed to respond to their requests. Keniuk's lawyer, Amir Cohen, sent a formal warning letter to Hapoel Ramat Gan demanding immediate settlement of the debts before initiating legal proceedings. The letter accuses the club of systematic and blatant breaches of employment agreements and social rights, describing the club's conduct as dismissive and neglectful of its contractual and legal obligations.

As the club builds its squad for the new season, it must also address these serious financial and legal issues. The letter, obtained by Sport 5, emphasizes the urgency and severity of the situation, warning that failure to comply will result in a lawsuit. This development adds pressure on Hapoel Ramat Gan amid its efforts to stabilize its position in the top division.
