Following a Sports 5 report revealing complaints from several Hapoel Ramat Gan players about unpaid promotion bonuses, the club issued its first response on July 17, 2026. The players claimed the club owes substantial sums, including 140,000 shekels to Gidi Kanyuk, 45,000 to Ezekiel Henty, 40,000 to Nir Berde, and 35,000 to Moti Barshatzky. Kanyuk stated he has repeatedly contacted club CEO Moshe Barkat and consulted a lawyer, intending to file a lawsuit soon.

The club clarified that since the new ownership took over, management has been working systematically and responsibly to resolve outstanding obligations from the previous season. It denied any claims that payments were overdue or that the club breached commitments.
