According to the initial information given to rescue teams, the toddler, about two and a half years old, was apparently injured after falling on stairs. When he reached the MDA teams, he had no pulse and was not breathing, and the medical teams performed resuscitation that included chest compressions, ventilation and administering medication.

Senior MDA medic Moshe Cohen and emergency medical medic Omer Kabha said the toddler was brought to the meeting point completely unconscious. According to them, the resuscitation efforts continued during the evacuation to the hospital in an attempt to save his life.
